Five Boys, Five Opportunities — The Moken Guardians

moken-boysschoolcommunityfundraisingprayer

Very few children in the Moken village reach grade 12 — the sea calls and the village pulls, and boys who show promise often turn back just before the finish line. After much prayer and discussion with his core group, Philip invited a new group of five boys to live with him on the condition that they complete grade 12. The Moken parents are enthusiastic, having watched earlier boys who walked this road outperform their peers.

Philip frames the sponsorship not as legal adoption but as a commitment to walk a boy's road alongside him: pray for him by name, receive personal updates, encourage him through letters and messages, and contribute toward his monthly living costs (about R2,000 / 4,000 Baht per month). More than one family can support the same boy, and Philip stresses that prayer matters most. Interested supporters contact him via WhatsApp (+66 61 032 0307) or Mokenguardians@gmail.com.
