Moken Guardians

A man with about ten Moken boys and young men and two dogs on a grassy clearing with trees behind, all smiles

Very few children in the Moken village reach grade 12. Five boys now live with Philip on one condition: that they complete grade 12. Their parents are behind them, having seen earlier boys who walked this road do well.

A Guardian walks a boy's road alongside him — praying for him by name, receiving personal updates, and helping to carry his monthly living costs. More than one family can share a boy, or you can support the group as a whole. Philip stresses that the prayer matters most.

Two of the five boys have Guardians; three are waiting.

To become a Guardian, tell us you'd like to help through the Guardians section of the support page, mention the reference Voogde, and we'll reply personally with the details.
